5Line OS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
5Line OS is a business operating system for founders and small teams. It stores information that users choose to add, including venture records, files, brand assets, receipts, mileage records, operating procedures, written content, notes, account metadata, and vault metadata.
Information We Collect
We collect account information such as email address and user ID, user-created business content, uploaded files, receipt images, videos, and mileage information when you choose to use those features.
Camera, Photos, And Location
Camera and photo access are used only when you scan or attach receipts, screenshots, brand assets, videos, or business documents. 5Line OS does not request precise location. Mileage distance is entered by the owner from an odometer or route record.
How We Use Information
Information is used to provide the app, sync records between devices, enforce account permissions, maintain security, and help users operate their business workspace.
Subscriptions And Purchase Records
Public subscriptions are not currently open. If paid plans become available, Apple, Stripe, or RevenueCat may process transactions. 5Line OS would receive the limited account, product, access-status, renewal, expiration, and transaction-event metadata needed to grant access and support the purchase. 5Line OS would not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Tracking And Advertising
5Line OS does not sell personal information and does not use app data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Security
Sensitive vault data should be encrypted before storage. Users should not store plaintext passwords, API keys, recovery codes, or credentials outside the vault encryption workflow.
Connected Assistants
The 5Line OS connection lets a supported assistant search the company records you allow, read the current owner review, and prepare bounded proposals in the selected company. Governed documents, Runbook procedures, authority records, and assistant-role configurations become Governance Change Requests for owner review. 5Line Connective is the secure service that carries approved requests between a connected assistant and your company workspace. Connected access requires the applicable 5Line Account, active access, company membership, and company-level permission before any record is returned.
Vault secrets, private working notes, file contents, credentials, payment identifiers, and government identifiers are excluded from the connected workflow. Supported proposals are typed, scoped to one company, previewed, explicitly confirmed, and version-checked. Governed documents, Runbook procedures, authority records, and assistant-role configurations become Governance Change Requests with Needs Review status. Submission does not approve or activate a record, grant authority, install or enable a skill, change permissions, schedule work, communicate outside 5Line OS, publish, or spend. Acceptance creates a Draft; approval and activation remain separate owner actions.
For security and troubleshooting, 5Line Connective keeps a limited operational request log. It may contain the request time, action and version, whether the request was allowed, denied, or failed, how long it took, an error code, a request ID, and a shortened one-way account reference. It does not contain the content of your requests, business records, files, credentials, authorization codes, access tokens, or refresh tokens. 5Line-controlled operational request logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted.
You can disconnect 5Line OS through the connected assistant's connection settings. Disconnecting or revoking the connection stops future assistant access; it does not delete the business records you keep in 5Line OS. Contact support if you need help revoking a connection or requesting deletion of eligible 5Line-controlled logs.
When you prefer a manual handoff, 5Line OS can prepare a Company Brief from the information categories you enable. You decide when to copy it into the assistant you choose. The Company Brief includes only the enabled information categories. The assistant provider then processes what you share under its own terms and privacy choices. For ChatGPT, that processing is governed by your OpenAI account.
Direct connected access is in private testing and is not publicly available. ChatGPT is the current test target; Claude compatibility has not yet been verified. The Company Brief remains available as a manual fallback.
Supabase and Cloudflare provide database, authentication, hosting, and secure request delivery used by hosted 5Line OS features.
Data Export, Retention, And Deletion
Company backups can be exported from Account or Settings. Restoring a backup in the mobile app creates a separate company on that device and never overwrites online company data. Backups contain portable operating records and Vault metadata, but not attachment files, device paths, online storage references, or Vault secrets. Signed-in users can initiate deletion of the shared 5Line Account in the app. Deletion is targeted within seven days and can be cancelled until processing begins. Records saved only on a device or browser remain there until the user removes them. Some records may be retained when required for security, tax, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
